5 lunches in 15 minutes!

Whew!

We decided this morning that we were going to the cabin for a week. Any of you Mommas out there know that it is no easy task to pack up two kids under two and their mom in even a few hours!

I also had the task of packing 5 school lunches for my step-daughter. Who knows how that would have gone if left up to my husband! I left him a list of which lunch to send each day and anything he has to do or add.

Monday
I love this Bento Box! So cute! I put pepperoni and cheese in the top compartment and left a note for Hubby to add 1/2 English muffin and the marinara sauce he needs to put in a jar. In the lower compartment I added three small containers: cut apples, bite-sized pieces of carrots and celery for something different than sticks, and plain yogurt with yellow and blue sprinkles so it will turn green when stirred.

Tuesday
I got this box in the Dollar Spot of Target. I think it is intended for crafts and things, but I need dividers for the small portions I send and I can never find containers small enough to fit inside the boxes I have. I added apple slices, carrots/celery, and goldfish to three of the compartments. I left a note for Hubby to have her make a sandwich and put half in the other compartment and save half for Wednesday.

Wednesday
This is another container from the Dollar Spot. I placed carrot/celery sticks in the center and left a note to take the 1/2 sandwich made earlier and place each 1/4 in the side compartments. I also noted to send a jar of strawberry yogurt. I didn't add more to the lunch because there is quite a bit of yogurt in the jar and, like I said, we're dealing with a very slow eater! In case you were wondering, the jar is an old Pimento jar and I added a magazine cutout of flowers to decorate the lid.

Thursday
This is another Bento Box I love! (I should add that I found both of these at TJMaxx for around 3-4 dollars!) There is a deep side compartment where I added carrots and celery again. I also made up another small plain yogurt with sprinkles and apple pieces. I left a note for Hubby to add the other English muffin half and the rest of the marinara from Monday.

Friday
I began to realize there was a bit of a carrot/celery overload, although it was always a very small portion (only about a 2in piece of each on the days I cut them bite-size). For Friday I only added apple pieces (in a little lemon-lime) and Goldfish crackers. I noted for Hubby to add 1/2 a sandwich and send either string cheese or any veggies that may have come back earlier in the week.

And the finished products! I love all the different containers! Even the same foods look fun when arranged in different ways!
