Productivity!

The great thing about being at the cabin is all the help I get! The productivity here is 5x the level at home without the help of the grandparents!

I was able to get quite a bit done!

My husband is self-employed. After doing all our taxes, I decided I'm going to take over the books and keep him organized. I spent an hour (well two, if you count putting the 2YO down for a nap and keeping the little one from fussing) adding up all his receipts and organizing a file-folder for his expenses.

Next, I was able to update my calendar journal. I found this idea on Pinterest and started filling a calendar with a little memory from the day. I fell a couple days behind and was able to catch up during nap time.

Last, I got a chance to organize the coupons I clipped yesterday. I'm no extreme couponer. (Anyone out there with tips to share?) I wish I could figure out how to save that kind of money, but I haven't been able to master it. I do, however, try not to buy something unless we have a coupon (not always successful), and love to find things I am able to get for a low price or free!

It's mostly fun for me since I can't do the shopping I'd like on our budget. I make sure not to waste money and buy something we can't use just because we have a coupon. My new favorite thing is to take my coupons to the Target clearance section or the dollar store! I can't believe the deals I've found at Target! I also absolutely love when I find make-up at the dollar store and end up getting it free with a coupon!

In the near future I will show off my calendar journal and my couponing deals.

Right now I'm dealing with heavy snow, and standing out in the cold next to the neighbors cabin just to get a connection.
