Secret Vanity Drawer : taking advantage of unused space

What is it with that strange spot at the top of the vanity? It looks like a drawer, but in a place like the bathroom where there is always room for more storage, it is completely useless.

Not anymore!

With a custom cutout to fit the shape of your sink, you can make use of this space!

I use mine for all the small things that would normally clutter the top of the vanity. It's so shallow that I find I'm more likely to clean-up because I know the things won't get cluttered or lost in this drawer. They are always easily accessible.

My vanity was custom built by my dad.

This vanity is a store bought one in my parent's bathroom at the cabin.

It has even more space and is deeper. They were also able to get a bit more storage because the sink wasn't as wide.

I love all the dividers to keep things organized!

This can work on any vanity. Just measure the amount of space needed for your sink and pipes and build around them.

Who doesn't love more bathroom storage!?!

  1. Absolutely! I can definitely use more space. We still have that unused space and would have never thought of trying to use it. Great idea!

  4. That is an awesome idea! And sooo much more useful than just having it flip open a little (KWIM?). Thank you for sharing... I will be secretly plotting to add drawers to all the vanities in my house.
