Our plan to head into town for some groceries and diapers was a bit derailed this morning!
After all the snow, we couldn't even make it up the driveway! After many attempts, we unloaded the kids and Grandpa set to work removing the ice from the hill. After an hour, we were on our way.
As I said yesterday, I am no extreme couponer. Today I felt like one! I managed quite a haul for. Fraction of the cost. I needed to use up some of my formula checks before they expire - those things are the best! I also had coupons for every purchase except the baby ibuprofen. Best part is that I needed it all! The only "impulse" was the jolly rancher candy, although I'm now on the lookout of inexpensive ways to satisfy my husband's obsession with sweets.
Here's the breakdown:
Cuties - $0.50 coupon
Jolly rancher chews - clearance for 50 cents each and my coupon was $1 off two!
Gerber 1st foods - $0.75 off 4
Gerber organize 1st foods - $0.75 off 3
Gerber cereal - $1.00 off two
Similac check for $5
Gerber checks for $10.95 and $3.95
Amazing!
$30.00 worth of merchandise for $7.71!!!
It would have been nearly free without the full-price ibuprofen, but I did save money going with the store brand.
I'm almost giddy with the savings! :)
By the way, anyone want to see where I have to stand to get a signal? Now that's dedication!
